# Log Adaptors

Log adaptors are used to customize how the <code class="expression">space.vars.X\_Agent\_Name\_Single</code> writes log information. Log information includes status messages, stack traces and failure notifications. To be able to use log adaptors, your <code class="expression">space.vars.X\_Agent\_Name\_Single</code> must be at version 6.0.1 or later.

Setting up log adaptors is an administrative function.

By default, log adaptors for the most common log providers are installed:

Additional log adaptors can be installed via extensions.
